Meeting Jane Goodall
Meeting Jane Goodall
Dame Jane Goodall, DBE (born Valerie Jane Morris Goodall on 3 April 1934) is an English UN Messenger of Peace, primatologist, ethologist, and anthropologist. She is well-known for her 45-year study of chimpanzee social and family interactions in Gombe Stream National Park, Tanzania, and for founding the Jane Goodall Institute. (Wikipedia, 2009)
She came to Toronto to release her new book...
To my surprise, a lot of people were present and it was packed in the bookstore...
Funny event was during Question and Answer session:
Ron puts up his hand and he got the mic.
Ron: Hello Jane!!
Crowd: *all stare*
Jane: Oh! Hi Ron!...
hahaha... that was funny.. cause everyone was like why did this dude just address her so casually -_-" i was also a little shocked to be honest... and they did say in her biblio that Jane and her younger sister, Judy, both suffer from prosopagnosia, a neurological condition which impairs the recognition of human faces :|
Anyways, its hard to forget Ron i guess hahaha...

Kid 1: Do you still live with Chimpanzees?
*in a very excited tone*
Kid 2: They say there is global warming, do you think its too late for us to stop it? is there anything we can do to change things?
*but the way he asked it was so cute and funny like OMG are we younger generations are going to die!! hahahaha for some reason i interpreted his question that way hahaha*
