Why the Cafe is Cheap

Ok tell me if i am wrong but that looks damn disgusting!!... yea.. i am awfully disgusted with what the residence cafeteria is feeding us and it aint cheap... Its beef so called steak... they over charge us all this while and i never complained because it was convenient and it was a must to purchase the meal plan if you live on residence...they say it was half price cause we paid full price while they cut half the money we paid in our accounts... what kinda cheap technique is that... they are like broad day-light robbers...

Today they went too far... i was hungry and tired from reading and was overjoyed that they served steak today... so got my friend to purchase them.. costing $5.24 for 2 miserable piece (the above picture was 4pieces) $10.40=RM33... it looks ok.. thn when i cut it and flipped it on the other side.. i saw this greenish-yellowish like a rainbow metallic colour on the other side... cause we sat under the light.. cause usually the cafe is poorly lighted... and this is what i saw... so i took a pic of it.. and MORE pic...

how disgusting is this?? green on the edge with orangy patches on it... am i paranoid or theres something wrong with this steak.... :(

I spit out what was in my mouth cause it was just an awful sight.. even a prank would not look as disgusting as this.... the worst part was i purposely threw it away slowly and this old lady who works there saw it and say... its raw and its not cooked well enough and that is how people get stomachache.. and YEA.. test is coming and i cannot afford to get sick... i am as paranoid as ever during test... i am so angry i wanted to find the manager but figure, i dont think he would do anything about it... what was i to do? what do you think?? as they saying goes:

Study Room

Well exams soon... and i mean REALLY SOON! and my timetable is about as crazy as it could get!... so we headed to the study room while today is actually Prom Night... which we did not participate in hahaha cause mostly those party people only go... we are good boys and girls hahaha... (well they dont have exam anytime soon) at least most of them.. So anyways, the name list are people who we usually call to hang out with or event we go out with like outings and all..15 altogether.. should recruit more in the future hahaha....

WE had our dinner in the study room... while people in their prom dresses and suits walk pass haha... well we did not really do much studying honestly speaking instead talk talk talk and tried to solve some questions and continued talking...

the table looked as messy as it could get with Economic books...

we had fried chicken and mash potatoes... (not nice)*

David plays the saxophone so i tried... and succeeded to make loud noises and also.... allow people on the fifth floor to hear the noise i made... hahaha...

hahaha..... its hardwork man...

Earth Hour

ITS EARTH HOUR PEOPLE!!!

A gesture to raise awareness of a worldwide energy conservation effort called Earth Hour. As to why we don't do this permanently - it saves no energy; modern displays use the same amount of power regardless of what they display. However, you can do something to reduce the energy consumption of your home PC by joining the Climate Savers Computing Initiative.
On Saturday, March 29, 2008, Earth Hour invites people around the world to turn off their lights for one hour – from 8:00pm to 9:00pm in their local time zone. On this day, cities around the world, including Copenhagen, Chicago, Melbourne, Dubai, and Tel Aviv, will hold events to acknowledge their commitment to energy conservation.

We believe in doing our part to help combat climate change, and found the Earth Hour initiative to be a timely, important event. Further, we think the "lights out" idea's individual-centered nature is something that millions of people worldwide can participate in. In short, we really like it. So we did something about it.

What to do?
Just switch off any electronic or lights in your house or room for 1hour from 8pm till 9pm local time... this will show a huge impact of our finite Earth if we all take part. I hope you'll take part! :) where ever you are!

Not so perfect night...

Ok fine normal day! lazy as usual but yea of course had to do some reading....


Than at night... at 12am!... someones SMOKE DETECTOR RANG!! omg!!... beep beep beep beep beep!!! ah ya ya!! and i think to myself what if there was a fire drill and also if the sprinklers gone off! Thank goodness it did not happen! -_-" not long after it stopped! but than.... something smelled FUNNY... yea it was F-U-N-N-Y smelling at first and not long after.... it turned into a horrendous SMELL or Stench!!!-_-

Was it a pet???? some may say... but for me! its a PEST!!! omg!!! my whole floor smells like i dont even know how to describe... i ignored it at first! than... than.. it started to leak into the edges of my door hole its like one of those horror movies where you get trapped in a cell and poisonous gas starts leaking into the sealed room!... ARGH!!!

I tried to sprayed Febreze (What ever i got left of it)* but seconds later... it was back to square one! yieks!! soo, i intelligently spray my perfume... *(dont laugh)* till i realize i am suffocating! sheeesh!!... so now i have to open the toilet door and leave the vent on.. while the SKUNKS spray escape slowly.. -_-" damn!.... Not long after the alarm rang again!...argh... where am i??

on a better note.. i saw deers! yay! spring is closing in!... but yea, it snowed AGAIN today... forecast said its gonna melt tomorrow yay! shorts again! :D

while i suffer inside my room... YIEKS!!

Nvm... i will survive... if i dun run out of oxygen... Alas, plan of studying is gone... hahahaha isnt that a great excuse :D but cant sleep too -_-" Traumatized by the smell and Sound! (classically conditioned) i am scarred for life! sigh.. hahaha

Karaoke Night~

So yea, our stress relieving program had brought us to sing our lungs out hahaha.... went to this place near the University with a bunch of friends :D

well sadly the selection of songs for that place is terribly lousy! Mostly were chinese songs and most of the songs we wanted were either not there or has no lyric on it.... But we all manage to choose what we wanted to sing... i for one nearly lost my voice hahaha...

and of course we had food... beef, squidballs, chicke wings, chicken thingy, pepper stuffed fishball and yea its a bubble tea place, so we had bubble tea...

we also played the dice game while others took turn to sing haha... the game is to guess what number are on the table and guess other peoples dices while calling bluff! and loser gets hit on the hand or ear...we were all kinda already tired before we got there cause it was a school day and we all had ALOT of classes on that day. But tomorrow is Good Friday! so its a public holiday here! YAY!!... so took opportunity to have some fun...

sang some chinese song with printed Pin Yin lyrics hahaha yea, cause i cant read chinese.. sigh... but yea, we all had fun, although we missed the bus by a mere second! so we end up walking back to the Uni which took approximate maybe 35minutes? haha.. did not remember...

it was 2.30am when we left... Yieks....haha oh well! at least we had fun... :D back to the study room! and to everyone:

Crabby Joe's

Had Crabby Joe's Tuesday! :D
My Buddy and I went to Crabby Joe's for dinner on Tuesday cause the chicken wing was crazily cheap hehe... 29cent per piece... so we just had to go since we already love Chicken wings so much.... yieks... despite the bad weather, rain and all we still went...

as Usual, can draw on the table hehehehe... draw some brutal cartoons eeepp!! haha

and Louis kinda tried to draw! hahaha ( i just like making fun of him)* hahaha..

Overall we ate 125 chicken wings hahaha... Suicide-Honey Garlic-Thai Hot-Parmesan-Herbed... and more la... cant remember.. i seem to notice as i blog, when i am out eating with friends, i seldom do anymore food pictures instead of group pictures hahaha...shows that i have a life i guess... haha not just food muahahaha.... anyways, back to studying... and if we cant stand it! we are going to do more outing.. or else... study...

OMG, finals is approaching and i am panicking, and Holiday is soon, and i am excited...

Panic + Excited = RESTLESS a.k.a STRESS

i have dreams everynight and most of my dreams are like so real! and i dream that i dream that i am in Canada and i dream that i woke up in Malaysia thinking i am dreaming that i am in Canada! phew... easier to type it out than say it in words hahaha...

Eaton Centre Outing

Went to Eaton Centre on Saturday, despite me having the cough.. haha.. so many thing happened la.. but skip skip skip.. went to lots of shop... hehehe bought goodies for myself.. therapy i guess haha stress relieving.... Noted event was: went to the Subway and the door was closing and everyone was already inside except for me and David, but i did not know that the door will shut tight.. so i pushed it.. and managed to squeeze in.. i tried to hold it but it just wouldnt open.. sheesh... so David was stranded cellphoneless but yea... at the end we waited for him at the other end... phew...*thank goodness he was paying attention on where we were heading.. haha...

Finally got to Spadina, took the streetcar to Chinatown... had Vietnamese food...

Well recommended by non other our Vietnamese friend...Louis!...

I had this Pho~beef and tendons and tripes... YUMMY....

Was freaking hungry so ordered an X-Large bowl hehehe.....

We all had alot.. and it was time to leave..... =_="

went back.. (note: 1hours 45mins to get there, 2hours to get back)*
our plans were not over... haha.. movie night.. and ordered Chicken wings from Domino's... and again.. my room turned into a movie room and a study room... -_-"

Capstone to ROM

We went on a trip to the Royal Ontario Museum... its for a residence program thing and the funny part was, majority of the people who showed up was not from my rez group! hahaha... only 2 person were from my group... the rest were.. erm... runaways! hahaha.... (well cause no one in my group were supportive enough for my rezpal..)

we went to visit Egypt cause it was suggested by one of the capstone members (whom ended up fleeing away, he said wanna buy food and just left)... anywho, we all managed and saw the mummy....

fooled around... funny part was when i saw the mummy, i told David;
You know what? This is what we are going to look like in the future! than this random lady stare at me and look back at the mummy and stare back... hahaha that was so funny...

this was the Egyptians jewelry section.. looks like what we can purchase in stores today hehe...

and yea had to take group pictures... oh ya... the four of us did not win the scavenger hunt... sigh~ hahaha but yea... pssk pssk we werent even trying wahaha...

Lunch with Aunt Eve

Woke up with a beautiful morning Sun... hehe but whats bad was i had to go to class from 8-9am and than tutorial from 9-10am.. only than i can have my breakfast... and yea.. i am down with the COUGH and SORE-Throat combo!... sigh~

But yea, Sunny doesnt mean warm.. everywhere is still covered with Snow.. sigh~ and its -5C outside... ermp.... But yea, after class Aunt Eve came over to pass me some keys and able to go back and clear the mail box... did not sort it though.. erm... and yea.. HAD LUNCH OUT SIDE! hehe...

Decided to go to "Con gee Dynasty", well i never been there before but i hear good reviews of the place...

I had con gee while Auntie Eve had Pad Thai noodle... hehe.. The congee was good! next time i shall order the original one.. this is the Chow Chuan type.... so nice to be able to taste, Tasteful food again! and especially when your sick!! haha... Thank You Aunty Eve!

And of course i had to trouble the waitress to take a picture for us...

and another!! hehe.... Aunt Eve than bought me Mineral water (24bottles) haha and mint tea from No Frills... argh.. cant stand cafeteria sells water too expensive and also tap water makes me sick :S...

and went back for my Psyche Lab and Meeting with the registra.. and study group in my room again!

(note: chicken wings AGAIN, but all i had was a banana! haha cause i suspected the chicken wings were the cause of my sufferings) haha...

*i dont look sick do i? hahaha.... everyone says the same thing ALWAYS... sheesh.... but yea, believe me.. my voice is being sexier by the day! haha...*
Anyways i have a Philosophy quiz and an Enviromental Quiz tomorrow followed by a visit to the Royal Ontario Museum (ROM) held by the rezpal group thingy... which is a funny story cause... No one wanted to go... and end up... yea, you'll see...

Tiring Weekend

It has been a LONG tiring Weekend... haha despite me having a test on Monday... we were storm in again... so studied before my Volunteering Job the next day....

Had some friends over for study group... unfortunately turned hungry and ordered chicken wings and pizza for supper... :S and watched movies.. watched Gladiator.. and after that studied a little and eat our left overs and watched V for Vendetta.... till 3.30am.. and i had to get up for my volunteer job at 9am tomorrow damn...

I finally got myself to wake up at 8.30am... and got my first job... bring the box to residence... because the office wasnt open yet so i could rest and eat abit before going back to help haha...

The open house.. more and more people came... Alot people showed up despite the snow..

helped out at the CCT building.... arranged table and table clothe..

And third job was to show people where to drive to... so since we did not do anything i ask my friend to smile and wave at every car hahaha... cause its SO COLD and we are not doing anything...

oh ya... my 3rd job was actually to stick up washroom signs.. haha... but i had left overs... so i ended up using it wahahaha....

when i got back... the CCT was packed.. woo.... well i had the privilege to bring 1 family here while encouraging a boy to come... haha
Boy: I am gonna take Psychology next year
Me: I am taking Psychology this year..
Boy: er... is it hard??
Me: nothing is easy or hard, if you read and study i am sure its very easy...
Boy's dad: Hahahahahaa...
Me and Boy: ha....ha...(sarcastically)* hahaha...

anyways, best part was Sherry and I took this family on the Tour of the University... it was fun... although we did not lie.. but we did not tell the whole truth hahahaha!!! terrible.. but yea... they seem to enjoy it..

Had my free lunch... a Banana and Pizza with RootBeer... and they did not need help until later... so we went back.. and i fall asleep until dinner time hahaha!! so i did not help.. OMG super tired.. slept from 3.30 till 6pm... and had dinner with friends... and studied abit, while my room turned into an office... cause study room was all occupied...

and had chicken wings again! haha no comment... slept at 2am and i have test today so WISH ME LUCK!! :)

Snow Clearing Update for Saturday March 8, 2008

The City is yet again experiencing a winter storm. Major roads will be treated first followed by residential streets. Our objective is to complete snow clearing operations within 24 hours after the end of a storm. Back to back storms can extend this to 48 hours or more.

Cars must not be parked on the street as this will hinder snow clearing operations. Due to the weather conditions, on-street parking considerations will not be granted.

Please note that the City will not clear the snow left at the end of a driveway after plowing operations – this is an established level of service.

We ask our residents to help others, especially seniors and disabled persons, to clear their driveways and sidewalks. Please ensure that you throw the snow on your lawn as tossing snow on the street could result in a City fine.

Below you will find specific information on the City's snow clearing operations and service standards for roads and sidewalks. Answers to frequently asked questions are found on the left panel.

Random Night Out

Was going to blog about how DANGEROUS it was today... people might just die on the way to class... as for me.. i was doing martial arts and ballet dancing all the way to class in order to keep myself alive... haha yes!! the path to class this morning was horrendous!! SLIPPERY BLACK ICE!! omg... you know what? i saw the outline of the ice patches as i walked while the reflection of the light beaming upon the ground and avoiding each slide... so everytime i walked on that thin later of murderous patch of ice i would say WOW!! hahaha... *auto reflex* damn...

Anyways.. i almost fall 2times.. -_-" cause i was kinda late with the pace i am walking to Tutorial.. and I WOOOOOW-ed!! haha.. and quickly look around once more to check for any spectators haha... proud of myself for not falling haha.. anyways glad no one saw me... Was gonna take picture of that blardy patch of Black Ice... but No i have better things to blog about today besides almost having to put my butt in jeopardy every time to class...

Another Bazaar day~

it snowed... AGAIN... sheesh.. it was a perfect morning and yea, as expected.. it snowed! BUT NO!! this is a FRIDAY!! i must get out from this place and eat elsewhere!! Cafeteria food is suddenly like Prison food hahaha cause they serve the same thing OVER AND OVER AGAIN!! omg!! so.. finally manage to drag faithful friends! haha despite the storm and weather warning... aw~ hahaha some were dragged in through psychological torture! (threatening*) muahahaha...

Ok Present were : Warden, Louis, David, Me, Rain, Janice, Chris and Elrica...

While we were at the bus stop, the most frustrating thing happened... 2 of our buddies (Louis and Elrica) happily!! went in search of a TD Machine (ATM) and so we waited for them... thinking they would go for awhile... who would had known they were planning to rob the bank.. sheesh so SLOW.. haha... The frustrating part was... Our Ride (the bus) was already here, and we were already rushing them to come before the bus leaves... so we though that the bus was gonna leave...

Anyways... To our despairs, the bus driver came down to buy something or use the toilet or something... overjoyed with our luck.. we called the two robbers... tick Tock tick Tock... they were not here yet... and the bus driver slowly walked back into the bus... while we watch as the bus drove pass us... leaving us another 30minutes stranded to catch the next bus... sheesh~ few mins later.. they appeared.. one empty handed.. -_- (Spoiled Atm card)... and so.. we took the pleasure and time to take photos at the bus stop while people just watch as we pose ridiculously... hahaha

Its ok... finally made it there.... ordered and talk talk talk.. as usual.. Random topics... like how we met? weird people in our class? Languages? ditching other peoples country?... and the list goes one... haha

we were initially planning to watch a movie cause its Friday! de-stressing night man...or play Poker... ended up did everything.. and all in my room... Played cards, Taboo, Youtube, Movie, Eat, Talk, Laugh, Talk, Laugh... it was crazy... to cut things short, cause i like to go into details.. the time stroke 2am... everyone left... and yea.. my night did not end there as everyone did, although there was some drunks outside my hallway.. -_-"
i arranged my stuff and to my horror... MY LAUNDRY BASKET WAS MISSING "#$%^*%"....
SHIT I LEFT MY LAUNDRY IN THE MACHINE!! and so i had to put it in the dryer and wait for an hour for it to be done... sheesh that is why i am blogging now... hahaha... Who on earth does their Laundry at 3.30am??... sheesh...

Snows Over? no...

I thought the sun was shining and snowy days were over... NO~~ storm this morning!! and guess what?? CLASS WERENT CANCELLED!!! sheesh... hahaha

Weekend~

Oh~ weekend... spent my whole day in the study room... as usual.. talk.. read and talk and youtube and talk and laugh.. and talk... haha
Basically group study had turned into a social thing.. -_-" we sit around, with our books, ended up talking and hushing each other up so that we could start our READING/STUDYING, and when one starts studying the other starts talking, and when we get frustrated we start talking, when we get bored we start talking, when we are clueless we start talking, when we all are too quiet we all laugh, when one sneeze all laugh, one sigh all comment, one stare at the wall all comment....till we talk about stuff that are unrelated to anything.... and dinner came into topic, 1-2hour of studying is history...
the odd part is that as we read our own respective book, we can relate the topic to anything... hahaha sheesh...

Oh ya before i forgotten... went to Walmart the otherday i did not show off what i found on sale? Simpsons Biscuits!! yay!!! dont jealous!! its delicious too... hahaha i wonder why?? erm... ok seriously spent the whole day out of my room, which was good... better than staring at the computer chatting or wall right??? but yea.. i seriously have to catch up on my readings.. i finally finished (skipped some pages) a chapter of Psyche before the new lecture tomorrow... sigh...

Movie Night

Today basically was a normal Friday morning... woke up for breakfast and was heading for tutorial out in the snow... at 9am... and the Teaching Assistant did not even showed up.. sheesh.. sat there like a puppet till everyone left one by one... went back.... class at 1pm for Environmental Science... studying Chemistry... Man its boring... :S used to like it... anyways.. headed for South Common to buy some food and a walk... sheesh.. IN a BLIZZARD haha... was wearing the wrong kinda sweater so i was covered white... -_-"

went back, everyone wasnt in the mood of studying at all.. haha reading week mood i suppose.. adapted to the bad habit of having to watch a movie.. or two.. or three... haha... my room turned into a party cubicle... with chips, chicken wings and coke... -__-" we watched Final destination and One Miss Call as we await for the clock to strike 10 so that we could watch a movie in the common room...

Finally it stroke 10 and we start watching at 10.30pm to call fellow movie goers that are still around the campus... haha.. actually we werent allowed to watch movies in the common room anymore because common rooms are all supposingly locked due to vandalism by some creeps... sheesh.. but than, the don came in and saw us diligently watching our show and leave us with peace... hahaha we ended up watching this Fictional Movie called The Prestige... i emphasize Fictional!!... -_-" i prefer real movies that makes more logic... :p although it was a great and confusing movie..

as a side track... we also watched non other than one of my favorite Happy Tree friends, which i thought no one would like to watch ended up loving it too hahaha.... thats all for today i guess... its snowing crazy~ 15cm...
